RPI-X Factor entry: Bleak Angel

Written by: Annabel Andrews | 29 June 2010

Bleak Angel is the latest band to enter  RPI-X Factor, the utility battle of the bands organised by Gemserv. Band member Tim Balmford describes them thus: "Bleak Angel is a folk / easy listening trio.  Two guitars blend with two vocals to create a melodic, rhythmic mix; the sound is simple, relaxed and accessible.  With close vocal harmonies and laid-back riffs, Bleak Angel has been likened to Simon and Garfunkel with a twist of Lemonheads.  Fans of Bob Dylan, The Lighthouse Family, Beautiful South and Neil Young will all find something in Bleak Angel's kicked back, chilled-out sound.  Tim Balmford works for the BG Group and Steve Morse works for PGS (Petroleum Geo-Service)."

We'll be opening the polls after the closing date for entries on the 15th July. But that's not to stop you discussing your favourites, here or on the facebook page.

It's not too late to enter if you're a musical maestro yourself. For more details, email rpi-xfactor@gemserv.com
