RPI-X Factor entry: Bleak Angel
Bleak Angel is the latest band to enter RPI-X Factor, the
utility battle of the bands organised by Gemserv. Band member Tim Balmford describes them thus: "Bleak Angel is a folk /
easy listening trio. Two
guitars blend with two vocals to create a melodic, rhythmic mix; the
sound is
simple, relaxed and accessible. With close vocal harmonies and
laid-back
riffs, Bleak Angel has been likened to Simon and Garfunkel with a twist
of Lemonheads.
Fans of Bob Dylan, The Lighthouse Family, Beautiful South and Neil Young
will
all find something in Bleak Angel's kicked back, chilled-out sound.
Tim Balmford works for the BG Group and Steve Morse works for PGS
(Petroleum
Geo-Service)."
