Well, surprise, surprise, that prudent Mister Brown has been back at the despatch box trying to make amends (or at least indulge in some damage limitation).
He made it clear last week that ministers were provisionally considering a new nuclear programme, but a final decision would await the result of the
consultation.
So that’s all right, then. And who lobbed the question that got the PM out of jail?
Step forward Jamie Reed MP, the Labour backbencher whose constituency includes Sellafield and who used to be, ahem, a press officer for BNFL.
Nice work.
