An energy bill to really moan about!

Good to see that Npower is on top of its game. It recently sent an electricity bill to Alison Turner, a Cambridge mum-of-two. The bill was for a whopping £90,454,217. Yup. A tad over £90 million.


Turner is reported to have been "stunned" by the amount. She was also bemused about receiving the bill in the first place. Not only is she on a prepayment meter, but she had switched to Eon in February.
Curiouser and curiouser.
A spokesman is quoted as saying: "We have systems to ensure these errors are not made, so I'm at a loss to say why this happened. We take customers' bills very seriously and we will look into this mistake to see what has gone wrong."
Oops.
