Are we all sitting comfortably?
What should we make of the turn of phrase used by Ofgem chief executive Alistair Buchanan when the watchdog held an open meeting last week? On several occasions he talked about "moving the deckchairs".
Of course, when you hear anybody referring to deckchairs you tend to think about the phrase involving seats on the Titanic. So was he talking in code or making some sort of Freudian slip? Is the great ship Ofgem springing a leak or about to founder?
Was Buchanan trying to tell us something? The great man (Disconnector, not Buchanan) thinks we should be told.
