As blunders go, this was quite a good one. The latest issue of Nuclear Future, a specialist magazine for nuclear engineers et al, contains a "welcome" piece from Mike Saunders, the president of Amec's nuclear business.

His article includes the following: "The generic design assessment process is well under way and John Mutton has announced the preferred sites to be considered for new stations..." The curse of the spellchecker had struck. Our esteemed business secretary is normally known as Hutton and he hasn't announced the preferred sites (or Disconnector's colleagues missed it if he did). There's the small matter of a Strategic Siting Assessment to be carried out first. Hey ho.
