They protest too much
Should the coal producers and generators be quaking in their boots? Maybe. Last weekend, climate change activists established a camp in Newcastle, Australia, and chained themselves to a coal train, blocking access to the Carrington coal terminal. Others blocked work at the coal port of Koorang, the world's largest.
Eon UK is braced for trouble over here next month when its Kingsnorth power plant will be the focus of the UK Camp for Climate Action, which in the past two summers has locked horns with Drax and the British Airports Authority at Heathrow Airport.
Similar action is planned in Germany and the US. Fasten your seatbelts, we're in for a bumpy ride.
