Meerkat maintenance:
Disconnector was intrigued by this spot of wildlife watching. Recently a camera crew from the country's largest independent drainage specialist (Lanes for Drains) was called in to check on a pair of meerkats - Sue and Timon - at Dartmoor Zoological Park. Instead of using its sophisticated CCTV equipment to check for sewage blockages, the crew deployed their inspection technology to check-out the meerkats' labyrinth of tunnels. The zoo staff wanted to know if the pair had successfully mated and whether Sue had begun to build a nest in the tunnels. In the event, there was no sign of a nest but the camera equipment did detect flooding in one section of the tunnels, which has now been rectified. Sorted.
