Environment secretary Hilary Benn looked a tad distracted at this photo opportunity in Yorkshire recently. The secretary of state, a Leeds MP, was opening an environmental visitor centre at Yorkshire Water's Esholt wastewater treatment works. The centre boasts hands-on science experiments for children. In this picture, children from Greenside Primary School in Pudsey are clearly enjoying the exhibit, which shows how fat blocks sewers. Benn was obviously amused, but maybe he was thinking about the delights of being beside the sea in Brighton at this week's Labour Party Conference.
