Bog standard improvement
Disconnector was much taken by a headline on a recent press release nestling in a colleague's in-tray. It said: "Eden raises the bog standard". Intrigued, the great man read on.
He discovered that the Eden Project, with its 245 rainwater harvesting toilets, had won a national Loo of the Year Award for the high standards of its, erm, facilities.
The awards scheme, run by the British Toilet Association (who else?) recognises the best "away from home" toilets in locations ranging from supermarkets to service stations.
The great man is impressed and wonders if the Glastonbury Festival, whose loos are notorious, has ever thought about raising its game?
In the meantime, well done the Eden Project, both metaphorically and literally flushed with success.
