National Grid seeks views on next five years![]() National Grid has begun a preliminary consultation with stakeholders in a new approach to the review of its business plans for gas and electricity transmission over the next five years. The consultation process is around the forthcoming Price Control Review - the regulator Ofgem's mechanism for regulating network businesses to protect the interest of consumers. Paul Whittaker, National Grid's UK Director of Regulation said "We are taking a new approach by looking at the process of our consultation and taking early soundings from our stakeholders .We are asking them how and when they wish to be involved in order to include as many views as possible when we develop our business plans" This preliminary consultation will run to early August and more information is available by e mailing TPCR5views@uk.ngrid.com Source: Utility Week © Faversham House Group Ltd 2010.
