Jacobs Engineering to lead design work for Scottish Water SolutionsUS company Jacobs Engineering Group announced it is to lead programme management and engineering design being delivered by a new partnership, Scottish Water Solutions. It will work with joint venture partners Scottish Water, Jacobs Engineering UK, Veolia Water UK and Laing O'Rourke Infrastructure to deliver more than £470 million of Scottish Water's new capital investment programme over the next five years. Geoff Aitkenhead, Scottish Water's asset Management Director and Scottish Water Solutions' chairman said, "This joint venture has been chosen for its expertise and experience in each of consortium partners chosen fields. This is a partnership with an exciting blend of the right skills and brings best practice from the private sector to bear on the delivery of public water and waste water treatment infrastructure.
