ETI seeks partners to develop energy storage

The Energy Technologies Institute has called for organisations to help develop energy storage technology. The aim of the four year project, expected to start next summer, is to build a device capable of delivering at least 500 kilowatts on an 11kV distribution network for approximately four hours.
Interested parties are asked to submit technology proposals ahead of a shortlist being developed. A request for proposals giving full details of the project and what the ETI expects from potential participants is available -Energy_Storage_Technology.aspx title=\"here\">here.
Organisations must notify the ETI of their intention to participate by 2 September and submit proposals by 24 September.
