Water price review process leads to skills shortages, warns EICThe price review process leads to skills shortages, the Environmental Industries Commission (EIC) has warned. The EIC, which represents the environmental technology and services industry, said five-year investment cycles encouraged skilled people to move to more stable sectors. The EIC recommended that the investment period should be 20 years and that companies' price review cycles should be staggered. Director Merlin Hyman said: "This situation leads to financial and managerial inefficiencies and instabilities in the supply chain, resulting in a skills shortage and ultimately higher costs for consumers".
