Eon floats plan to sell stake in Nordstream gas pipeline![]() Germany's Eon may sell part of its stake in the Nordsee international gas pipeline, the company has said. Eon chief executive Wulf Bernotat told a German newspaper that his company was in talks with France's newly-merged power utility GDF-Suez over the sale. He said Eon may dispose of a 4.5 per cent stake in the pipeline. It currently owns 20 per cent. The Nordsee pipeline brings gas 1200 km from Russia and went into operation in 2005. The other owners are Russia's Gazprom, which owns 51 per cent of Nord Stream, Wintershall Holding, the gas arm of German chemicals group BASF, which owns 20 per cent, and Nederlandse Gasunie, which owns 9 per cent.
