Welsh Water and Cardiff University to research water futures

29 September 2009

Welsh Water and Cardiff University have agreed a new joint working arrangement that will help protect the environment and manage long term water supplies. The agreement will give Welsh Water access to the university's research experience in areas such as water and waste management systems, energy efficiency, water quality and pollution control. In one of the first projects set up under the link, two MSc students from the School of Earth and Ocean Sciences will work on research projects with Welsh Water. Nigel Annett, managing director of Welsh Water, said, "This historic agreement forges the link betwen two valued Welsh institutions."
