12 million finance means Good Energy can upgrade Delabole wind farm

Good Energy has secured a finance package from the Co-operative Bank to upgrade its Delabole wind farm. The deal means output from the North Cornwall farm will increase roughly 250 per cent to 9.2MW.
Planning permission came through for the upgrade last month, and the project is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
The £11.8m package includes £9.6 million in debt finance from the Co-op and £2.2 million equity from Good Energy's own resources.
Delabole began generating in 1991 and was the UK's first commercial wind farm.
