34

Company

Job

Career
Nadeem has worked for Ernst & Young's Transaction Advisory Services business for over nine years.

What was your first job?
Delivering newspapers. The fact that I escaped getting bitten by some of the most vicious dogs in the country is nothing short of a miracle.

What are the best and worst parts of your job?
The best parts are working on the most challenging cross-border deals with the brightest people across our global organisation. The worst part of my job is operating the printers... still a mystery to me.

What's your dream job and why?
Playing professional football for Arsenal. The thrill of playing with and against some of the best players in the world would be immense. Clearly, playing against Hull, for example, on a cold, wet evening is less appealing but you've got to take the rough with the smooth.

What's your most treasured possession?
My Arsenal season ticket. I had to wait 16 years to get it.

What is your idea of the perfect night out?
I come from a large family so dinner with all of them is always eventful (and noisy).

Where did you last go on holiday?
South Africa. We travelled along the Garden Route. It is one of the most scenic places I have ever been to. Stunning.

In the Hollywood film of your life, who would play you?
I would have no problem if Al Pacino or Robert De Niro argued about which one of them should play me.

Reveal something about yourself not many people know.
I help run a charity called the Muslim Welfare Association. It looks at an array of issues affecting my local community.

What album is currently in your car CD player?
Kanye West, Late Registration.

What's your favourite film and TV programme?
Heat is my favourite film. Unfortunately I am addicted to watching Lost, a programme that is both appealing and annoying in equal measure.

What quote or saying do you most overuse?
Can't think of any just yet but when I do recall something that's in the ballpark I'll diarise to let you know.

If you ruled the world, what would you do first?
Try to resolve the conflict in the Middle East - a tragic state of affairs for both sides.
