What was your first job?
I must have been very lazy in my teens because my first job was with Hoover, which sponsored me through university (yes, I was there during the free flights fiasco, although thankfully doing a Masters in the engineering labs).

What are the best and worst parts of your job?
The best is closing any big deal and then hearing our clients say great things about the benefits realised for them from the service they have received from UES.
The worst is long hours and not seeing enough of my family.

What's your dream job and why?
Being in control of my own destiny, i.e. this job.

What's your most treasured possession?
My family.

Where did you last go on holiday?
Lanzarote, but we have lots of plans for my 40th this year.

In the Hollywood film of your life, who would play you?
Ioan Gruffudd (from Fantastic Four). I was in school with him, although he's a bit younger than me. He'd be able to do the Welsh language parts.

Reveal something about yourself not many people know.
My first language is Welsh and I can play Scott Joplin's The Entertainer on the piano off by heart.

What album is currently in your car CD player?
Duffy's Rockferry, although I usually listen to Radio 5 when driving.

What's your favourite film and TV programme?
Film: The Day After Tomorrow and An Inconvenient Truth.
TV: Spooks and Dragon's Den.

What quote or saying do you most overuse?
"Let me have that by close of play today."

If you ruled the world, what would you do first?
Invest a high proportion of GDP in technologies and projects to tackle climate change.

What's your favourite joke?
Why is the sand at the beach wet?
Because the sea weed (it's best told by my eight-year-old son). What was your first job?
